My dog is alone most of the day, eats a balanced diet, and has had all her vaccinations. She has always been relatively normal, but she recently started chasing her tail a lot. At first we thought it was cute. Now she seems to spend time actually looking at and biting her tail, and I am concerned. There is nothing wrong with the hair on her tail that I can see.
